The Movement

To re-member is to gather back the parts of ourselves that have been scattered, silenced, or forgotten. The ancient, instinctive, embodied wisdom that lives beneath conditioning, beneath expectation, beneath the pace of modern life. It is a remembering that happens not through effort, but through listening to the body, to the land, and to the quiet intelligence that connects us all.

Time Around Classes

Explore with the Massai
Our wonderful Maasai watchmen (“Askari” in Swahili) and chalet hosts are available to guide you on walks right from the lodge gate through the stunning native bushland that we’re so lucky to be surrounded by. We never charge extra for these services.

Catering

Much of what we eat comes straight from our land: fresh vegetables, fruits, herbs, and greens harvested just steps from your room. What we can’t grow ourselves, we source from nearby markets, supporting local farmers and bringing you the freshest seasonal ingredients East Africa has to offer.

Tanzanian food draws on local ingredients and flavors influenced by Indian and Arabic cooking: fragrant spices, slow-cooked stews, coconut curries, and plenty of rice.

Our menu is flexible, so you can enjoy traditional Tanzanian dishes, meals inspired by local flavours, or a more European-style menu (whatever suits your taste). But we always encourage a little adventure on your plate – some of the local specialties are worth trying!
