The Retreat

On ‘The Somatic Healing Circle’ Retreat, we look forward to delivering a beautiful selection of therapeutic practises including dance movement therapy (DMT), Traditional Yoga, (working with the eight limbs of Yoga). Laughter Yoga, Somatic Singing, various meditation methods, breathwork and progressive muscle relaxation (PMR). You will also be journaling, so be sure to bring a notebook and pen along with you.

Accommodation

Experience the duality of Alentejo at Quinta Camarena. Here you can relax or play as much as you want! You can be one with nature and the warm community. You can wander and experiment. Gather and celebrate with the ones you love or have your solo traveller experience. There´s always something to do, but you can also just do nothing. Breath the fresh air, and let the stunning views take your breath away. In this stunning property of 4ha and surrounded by nature, you will have lots of space and feel secluded and safe as if

you´re in your private paradise.

There´s something about this place: The overwhelming nature that surrounds us and surprises us with its beauty, its smells, and sounds. The picturesque village of Cercal makes you feel you went back in time. The creative hidden pockets of a vibrant community that is building a new more sustainable way of life, or maybe is just going back to our roots. The flavours, like everything, seem so much more intense and unique here.

A morning hike, or a workout surrounded by nature, followed by the home-style brunch with local bread and fruit juice from our trees. Chill at one of the outdoor lounge areas or soak in the sun by the pool enveloped by the tranquillity of the forest. Hear the songs of birds and bells of sheep in the distance. Enjoy homemade meals with local produce and regional wine while watching sunsets in vibrant oranges and fiery reds. At night watch the starry truly spectacular sky.

Catering

The Somatic Healing Circle retreat offers in-house catering that sits with the sustainable values of the property it is held in. The weeks food will feature nutritious, locally sourced organic food that showcases the best in local and inspired cuisine.

A private chef will prepare your meals, and these meals can be tailored to meet all of your dietary requirements if required. Enjoy your meals on an outdoor terrace or in the bright and spacious indoor space where you can dine while taking in your relaxing surroundings as a group.

The Somatic Healing Circle Retreat’s purpose is to help balance your mental, physical, emotional and spiritual health, especially if you are, or have been feeling lost, unbalanced, depressed, anxious, fatigued, or hormonal due to perimenopause/menopause, have an autoimmune condition or are feeling stressed. Also, to encourage a routine of self-care, and It also gives you a chance to connect with self, others, have a sense of purpose, wanderlust and to feel magical!

Full balance is due by 4th of March 2026.
